Daddy of 'Em All

Yee-HAH! DH and I spent the weekend at Cheyenne Frontiers Days, which is in its 111th year! We traveled round trip in luxury in a dome car of the Frontier Days train. http://www.cfdtrain.com/posttrain.htm

After departing from Union Station in Denver, we arrived at the beautifully renovated sandstone depot in downtown Cheyenne. We immediately walked a block or two to see the start of the biggie Frontier Days parade.

Decorated boots are strategically placed downtown. This one depicts the role of missionaries in the area.

The Governor's boot displays the names of those who have served Wyoming.

This bull rider welcomes everyone to the entrance of the Western museum and rodeo grounds.

This twilight picture from the train displays another kind of Western skyline.

Knitting? Yes, it remained in the zippered pouch where I packed it for the hours of riding on the train. The pouch has not been opened since I packed it last Friday. :]
