The English American: A Novel by Alison Larkin

"My heart hurts terribly, and then the numbness comes back, stopping my tears. Which is a good, because the sign on the wall next to the fridge says, "Crybabies will be shot."

I like how those two sentences express two very different moods: one sorrowful, one humorous.

Here is my teaser.

Hello Pooch,

Great lines, I had to go and read the full blurb on Amazon, as I was intrigued.

Sounds like a too good to be true story, that is heading for tears. It will be great to read your review, to see if this is how it works out.

Good teaser but I better be careful. I don't want to be shot.

Good teaser -- not that crying is bad but sometimes it's better to buck up and a move on.
