Operation Purple Heart

The tote bag arrived today from the maker so I am ready to send it off with the Comfort Ghan to the parents of a 25-year-old Army Staff Sgt. who was killed on November 28, 2004, when his unit was conducting a dismounted patrol and encountered enemy forces using small-arms fire in Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Howze, Korea.

Please remember this family in your prayers.

I assembled the ghan using squares sent by members of Heartmade Blessings. www.heartmadeblessings.org

But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

I will pray for this family, for you, and for the other volunteers.

What a wonderful thing you are doing.

I know first hand how horriable the feeling is when a family memeber gets hurt over there. My brother in law was shot a few months ago while in Iraq. It was touch and go for a while but all is well now.

My best friend is there now, along with a cousin.

All of the service men and woman are in my thoughts and prayers every day.

Oh, Jenn, how horrendous for your BIL! Please convey my thanks to him for serving. He won't be redeployed, will he?

I will offer special prayers for your loved ones.
