Two dogs and a monkey
Buy A Friend A Book Week is October 1-7. During this week, you’re encouraged to buy a friend a book for no special reason.
I just mailed books for a Friendship Swap. One book was by Janet Evanovich on the recipient's book list. The "friendship" book I chose was Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. I've reread this book over a period of years, something I seldom do. It resonates to the individual reader in specific ways, however the emotions and experiences of friendship as it develops and grows and simmers are common to most women and girls. What book would you chose in this scenario?
Note to Terri: The Wordless Wednesday pic of the door from a week ago is something I see when I go through our bank's drive through. One day, as I was waiting for the bank transaction, I was struck by the lines I saw...the verticals and horizontals of the door, window, One Way sign, the flower box placement...I grabbed my camera and snapped a couple pix. I found it quite appealing. Buy A Friend A Book Week is October 1-7. During this week, you’re encouraged to buy a friend a book for no special reason.
What book would you choose to give to a friend and why?

I kept thinking my Lab would outgrow all that energy. But she's 7 now...
How do you resist cuddling up with them?
I just love the way puppies fall asleep and let all the limbs land wherever they are, like a machine suddenly gives out and crashes. so cute ....
I'm reading The Diana Chronicles too.
I just love your pics every week... they are so sweet together!
I am glad Elise has such short legs. I think if she were tall she would be harder to wear out!
She was such a wild puppy that I didn't think I would survive.
I hope Lailah calms down for you soon.
But she is really cute!!!
and so is Max!
The book I will be giving several friends who have adult children is Walking on Eggshells by Jane Isay. Very good advice on biting tongues to keep the peace. It's way more important to be close than it is to be right.
I read SummerSisters a while back. As books go, this one is not as interesting but not bad either.
They both look so sweet.
Yep, hard to believe by that picture.
